Your primary job as a Temporary Sales Team Member is to help our guests and your teammates to have a safe, happy, healthy and productive experience every day. Temporary team members work in a retail store to assist in daily operations with other team members and management and provide a high level of service to our guests supporting our core values, by performing the following duties:

Requirements

Greet and welcome every guest as they enter the store
Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and assisting all guests, answering questions and locating items in-store.
Unload and put away weekly truck deliveries
Merchandise, display and stock product on store shelves and beer coolers in accordance with Operational Guidelines, restocking with product from stockrooms as needed
Responsible to learn basic information on wine, spirits, beer and cigars
Provide other tasks/projects as assigned by store management team
A clean store is something all ABC guests appreciate and know they can expect from us. All team members assist with box breakdown, light trash removal, and daily routine sanitation duties (sweep, mop, sanitize high touch points throughout stores and stockroom, keep bathrooms clean and supplied)

Act as the point of contact for customers. Assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs. Stock merchandise adequately. Perform other duties as necessary to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, while protecting company assets.

DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Unload trucks.
Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move directly to sales floor.
Build merchandise displays.
Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
Restock recovered merchandise.
Assist customers by locating merchandise.
Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Greet customers.
Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer’s purchase; bag merchandise.
Collect payment from customer and make change.
Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners, as needed
Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.

Knowledge and Skills

Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Understanding of safety policies and practices.
Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures
Basic mathematical skills
Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Work Experience and/or Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Duties and Essential Job Functions

Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
Open bales, crates and other containers
Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory
Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
